Like many other organisations, this site has become the victim of spammers who have been spoofing my email adress. This is totally beyond my control and unfortunately there's nothing we can do to prevent it.
If you have received spam appearing to come from this email address, then we can only apologise.
We will not send out spam emails.
If you receive any email which comes from a valid organisation name but from an invalid email address. e.g. abcxyz@clareevans.co.uk just delete it. Do not open it as it could also contain a virus.
Email Spoofing: Spammers send out an email and amend the header so that it appears to come from someone else. This is a form of identity theft as the sender is pretending to be someone else. By doing this they prevent the email being traced back to the originator.
Email Spam: Email is sent out to thousands of users - either just as junk email, or containing a virus, unwanted message or advert.
Phishing Emails: The email appears to come from a valid site such Amazon, Paypal or a banking organisation and requests a userid, password or other personal information by linking to a web page. Never respond to requests for personal information.
A valid organisation will always address you by name and will never ask for any personal information.
Make sure you have an up-to-date virus scanner like McAfee Virusscan installed to protect you from viruses.
Please don't identify this site as a spammer. If there was any way I could prevent it I would.
